Privacy policy
Shuffle Play (Watkins YouTube Playlist), a private Roku app. Last updated 29 September 2026.
Shuffle Play is a Roku app used only by the Watkins household on its own Roku devices. This policy explains what it does with your information when you sign in with Google.
What the app accesses

Where your information is kept
- On your Roku: the sign-in tokens, your player settings, and a copy of your song start/end points for when Google can't be reached. They stay on that Roku.
- In your own Google Drive: the "Shuffle Player" sheet. You own it and can edit or delete it at any time.
- Nowhere else. The app has no server of its own and no account system. The Roku talks directly to Google and YouTube. There are no ads, no analytics and no tracking.
Sharing
Your information is not sold, shared or transferred to anyone. Two outside services are contacted, and only with what they need:
- YouTube and Google, to list and play videos and to read and save the sheet. Their use of data is covered by the Google Privacy Policy.
- SponsorBlock (sponsor.ajay.app), a community database of intros and outros. It is only contacted when you open "Adjust start/end" or turn on auto-trim, and it only receives the video's ID, nothing about you.
This website (shuffleplay.watkins.bar) only serves these pages and, in future, a settings file the app reads. Like any website, its hosting provider may log visitors' IP addresses.
YouTube API Services
Shuffle Play uses YouTube API Services. By using it you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. See the Google Privacy Policy for how Google handles data.
Shuffle Play's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Removing access and deleting data
- In the app, on Home: Sign out removes the YouTube sign-in from that Roku, and Disconnect Google Drive removes the Drive sign-in.
- At any time, you can remove the app's access from your Google account at myaccount.google.com/connections or Google's security settings.
- Delete the "Shuffle Player" sheet from Google Drive to delete your song points.
- Removing the app from a Roku deletes everything it stored on that Roku.

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes too.
